Caithness County Show Stunt Rider - Jamie Squibb

The Caithness County Show had Jamie Squibb's Freestyle Motocross (FMX) stunt display team entertaining the huge crowd at Wick's riverside today in brilliant sunshine. Jamie nearly hit a seagull when he was flying high through the air!

Wick Groats beat John O'Groats 1-0 in the Colin MacLeod Memorial cup final at Castletown. In a pretty even game with both defences on top, Grant MacNab broke free and slotted the ball home with 2 mins left.

Graham MacNab missed a penalty with around 10 mins left by blasting over the bar. John O'Groats had a great chance with 1 min left, but the ball was blasted over from 12 yards with only Graeme Williamson to beat.

Lybster vs Livingston XI

Lybster played a friendly vs a very young Livingston XI tonight at Upper Bignold Park in Wick. Lybster played well but went in at half-time 6 nil down. The vistors were very sharp in front of goal. Lybster stormed back in the second half and scored 2 goals. Livi scored a very late goal to make it 7-2.

I caught a lot of this match (but not the Lybster goals!) and some of the Staxigoe Utd vs Halkirk match which was on the next pitch.
