Halkirk Utd vs Brora Rangers (0-8)

Halkirk Utd lost 8-0 to a rampant Brora Rangers side in the North of Scotland cup tonight at Morrison Park. Halkirk keeper Daniel Budge made some fantastic saves to keep the score down.

Brora were 2-0 up at half-time and 3-0 up mid-way through the 2nd half, before their superior fitness made a big difference and they rattled in 5 late goals. Steven MacKay scored 5, Zander Sutherland got 2 and Dale Gillespie got 1.

Brora now travel to Wick for the semi-final after Wick beat Clach 2-0.

I caught the first half of the Swifts vs Castletown league match at the Dammies tonight. Swifts were 1-0 up thanks to a strike by Steven Morris. Both sides had good chances in an even contest. The score ended 2-2.

I got real close up to Usain Bolt during the 4x100m heats on Friday 1st August at Hampden Park. I was the only accredited photographer positioned beside the last relay change point and so got some unique pics.

For the final I was positioned on the first bend after the finish line (along with dozens of photographers), but Usain strode past the waiting press and went straight for the crowd and did a lap of honour that took around 45mins before disappearing up the tunnel on the home straight.
