French rugby supporters

There were many thousands of French rugby supporters at Murrayfield for the game vs Scotland and a good few made it a carnival atmosphere by dressing up for the occasion. I managed to snap some pics in and around the stadium.

RBS 6 Nations - Scotland vs France

The Scotland vs France Six Nations game at Murrayfield was a great game of rugby and great to photograph. I managed to be in the right place for Scotland's two tries, pity they lost 17-23.

With a sellout crowd of 67,500, the atmosphere was electric at times. There was a huge French support and many were in fancy dress - pics to follow in another post.

Caithness RFC vs Hillfoots

The Greens played their last home game of the season at a very wintry and muddy Millbank today. They lost 17-3 to Hillfoots. I left just after half-time when it was 5-3. To say the ball was slippery was an understatement!

There were nasty injuries to John Miller and Sinclair Dunnet, who both had to come off.

Wick Academy vs Forres Mechanics

Wick Academy beat Forres Mechanics 3-2 today at a very wintry Harmsworth Park. Hail storms were frequent throughout the game. Davie Allan scored inside the first minute and man of the match Sam Mackay scored just before half-time to make it 2-0.  Sam scored another cracking volley in the 54th minute to make it 3-0.

Forres fought back with two goals from Kyle Scott and Ross MacPherson.  Wick just held off a late onslaught on their goal, with Michael Gray making two tremendous saves and a Forres header hit the bar in injury time.

Referee Billy Baxter booked 6 players, but it wasn't a "dirty" game.

Look out for my pics in Monday's P&J.
