Brora Rangers drew 1-1 with Fraserburgh at Dudgeon Park today. The pitch was soft after the club forked the ground in the morning. The match was played in dry weather and there was no wind.

Dale Gillepsie scored with a header for Brora in the first half, but William West equalised in the 2nd half. Fraserburgh had two sent off late in the 2nd half, but despite throwing everything at the Broch goal, including a goal chalked off for offside, Brora had to settle for a point.

Caithness RFC vs Glenrothes (10-21)

I caught the 2nd half of the Caithness vs Glenrothes league match, with the Greens in the lead 7-6. Caithness were winning 10-9 with 10 mins to go, but let in 2 late tries and lost 21-10. The Greens were very rarely in the opposition's 22 in the 2nd half and only threatened to score a try in the last minute.

Halkirk Utd vs Thurso (3-3)

Ian MacKay scores Halkirk's 1st goal

Orkney beat Alness Utd 3-0 in Alness (league match). Golspie beat Sutherland Utd 10-2 to reach the final of the Ness cup against Orkney.

I caught the first half of the Thurso vs Halkirk Utd cup match a very wet Dammies. Halkirk led 1-0 at half-time due to a Grant MacNab goal and the Anglers should have scored a couple more. Thurso turned it on in the 2nd half to win 3-1.
