Halkirk's 5th goal |
Halkirk Utd were presented before the game vs Alness Utd, with their new strips by Anthony Kevill of the Ulbster Arms Hotel.
Playing with a strong wind behind them, Alness were 3 up after 15 mins and 4 up at half-time. The wind dropped for the 2nd half and Alness scored another 2 just after half-time. Halkirk scored one back and then Alness had a player sent off.
Alness collapsed after that and Halkirk scored their 5th in injury time. This was just after hitting the bar and having a shot cleared off the line, so they nearly earned a sensational draw and one of the biggest comebacks ever.
