Wick Groats scored two goals in the 2nd half to beat rivals Pentland Utd in the first round of the Eain Mackintosh memorial cup match. Alan Hughes scored first and Sandy Sutherland the 2nd. Utd's Michael Petrie got two yellows to be sent off late in the game.
I caught some of the action at the Dammies between Swifts and Halkirk. Swifts took the lead and Jamie Kelly scored a stunning strike to equalise. He also scored a second with a well taken freekick at the edge of the box. It was still 2-1 when I left with 15 mins to go.
