Wick Groats beat John O'Groats 2-0 in the 3rd round of the Highland Amateur Cup at John O'Groats. Wick had all of the play and were comfortable winners. Graham MacNab scored after 30 mins and 80 mins. A hard match with tough tackling and plenty of bookings.

Swifts beat Top Joes 6-5 at High Ormlie in the Eain Mackintosh cup tonight. I arrived for the 2nd half and Swifts were already 6-2 up. Top Joes got into gear in the 2nd half and scored two quick goals to make a game of it. TJ's had two good chances before scoring a 5th mid-way through the half. I had to leave with 15 mins left.

Thurso Acks beat Wick Thistle 1-0 at a very wet Dammies tonight in the Eann Mackintosh cup. Jack Halliday scored with a low shot from the edge of the box, mid-way through the first half. Acks had the majority of possession and chances, but could not score more. Chris Sutherland "scored" with an overhead kick, but he was deemed to be off-side.

It rained for the whole of the first half and the dreaded midges came out for the dry 2nd half.

Pentland Utd beat Thurso Acks 4-0 at the Dammies tonight in a good game of football with plenty of action for the fans. Luckasz Geruzel got a hat-trick and James Murray got one.

James Murray hit the post with a header early on. Luckasz took a penalty after 20mins but Neal Clark dived to his right to save it. Sean Campbell got the rebound and passed to Luckasz who scored from 4 yards. Luckasz got his second 10 mins later when a free-kick was floated into the box and he beat Steven Sinclair with a header that looped high over Neal Clark. Acks had some good chances, but could not find a way past Michael Gray. 2-0 at half-time.

Luckasz got his third early in the 2nd half when he beat the off-side trap to coolly chip the ball over the advancing Neal Clark. Acks battled away, but had no luck in front of goal. Utd thought they had scored when Clark let a simple high ball slip through his fingers, but he managed to claw the ball off the line and Sean Campbell pounced on the loose ball and somehow managed to miss an open goal. James Murray scored the 4th with around 20 mins left.

Halkirk beat Wick Thistle 7-1 in a Division 2 league match tonight at Recreation Park. Thistle struggled after their extra time defeat on Saturday in the Highland Amateur cup and had a few players missing.

Andrew Bremner scored in the first half and Lee Elder got two before half-time. Ruari McCartney scored with a well taken volley before Lee Elder got his third with all the time in the world to slot past Alan Stewart. Michael MacIntosh poked home number six when he beat Alan Stewart to a through ball. Thistle got one back when Halkirk keeper Keiron MacLeod caught a high ball under a challenge and dropped the ball into the net. Tom Ross had a simple tap in on the line when Alan Stewart dropped a high free-kick.
