Wick Groats beat Pentland Utd 2-1 to win the Caithness First Division Championship for the 5th year in a row. Graham MacNab scored the winner late in the first half in front of a large crowd.

2016 Highland Amateur Cup semi-final - Kirkwall Thorfinn vs Avoch (2-1)

After rushing back from the Wick Groats vs Lochs game in Golspie, I caught the last 5 minutes of the other Highland Amateur Cup semi-final in Halkirk between Kirkwall Thorfinn and Avoch. Kirkwall won 2-1.

Wick Groats beat Lochs 1-0 in the semi-final of the Highland Amateur cup in neutral Golspie. Sandy Sutherland scored early in the 2nd half to clinch a hard fought match.

Wick Groats play Kirkwall Thorfinn in the final after they beat Avoch 2-1 in Halkirk (some pics of this match to follow).
