Celebrity fever hit Caithness at 5.20am this morning as FAB 1 drove into John O'Groats after 20 hours on the road from Lands End.

The four drivers of the special edition Thunderbirds Rolls Royce were Radio and TV presenter Chris Evans, Take That's Gary Barlow, Top Gear's James May and TV "boffin" Professor Brian Cox. The car run was in aid of the Breast Cancer Charity and was called "FAB 1 Million" as they are trying to raise one million pounds over the coming year. The car can be hired for the day at a cost of £5,000.

Nearly 1,000 hardy souls braved the dark, freezing and windy conditions to greet the stars. Chris Evan only waited for 10 mins as he had to fly to Inverness to present his radio show at 7am (he was 10 mins late). Gary Barlow spent 10 mins meeting the crowd and signing autographs. There were TV cameras, dozens of photographers, security body guards for Gary, police, six back up cars, a lone piper, fireworks and a roving PA system. The hot food cabin did a roaring trade!

Gary was the star and most of the girls/ladies were there just to see him. But only if they could see past his two massive bodyguards!
