Halkirk Utd lost 3-2 to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the North of Scotland Cup at Morrison Park last night. Caley fielded a young team as the first XI are playing Partick Thistle tonight.

Caley scored in the 2nd minute from a corner and scored a 2nd mid way through the first half. Alan Larnach scored with a free kick near the end of the first half, to make it 2-1 at half-time. Caley scored early in the 2nd half. Halkirk keeper Neal Clark was very busy and had some cracking saves.

Gordy MacNab was fouled in the box with 3 minutes remaining and scored the resulting penalty. Halkirk had two good chances in the final 2 minutes, but the Caley keeper had a great save from Alan Larnach to avoid a draw and a penalty shoot out.
