Caithness Ladies played Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Cup at the Dammies today in front of a record crowd of around 300. Dunfermline opened the scoring but Lauren Ross equalised for Caithness. The much more experienced Fifers hit top gear and went onto score a good number of goals. Carly Mackay scored Caithness's 2nd towards the end of the first half. There was some fine goalkeeping by Leanne McClure, who drew applause from the crowd with some cracking stops.
Caithness winger Gaby MacGregor got the biggest crowd reaction when she beat 6 defenders on a mazy run, only to see her shot saved by Lauren Hamill.
