Staxigoe Utd beat John O'Groats 3-0 in the final of the Eain Mackintosh cup at Morrison Park, Halkirk, in front of a large crowd.

Halkirk and Wick Groats battled out a 1-1 draw at Morrison Park last night. Wick Groats are 2 points clear of Pentland Utd at the top of the league.

Wick Groats beat Maryburgh 3-0 in the quarter-final of the Highland Amateur cup. Sandy Sutherland scored twice and Sean Stewart got one. Wick now play Lochs in the semis on 6th August. Avoch play Kirkwall Thorfinn in the other semi.

The Caithness County Show's Flower Show committee celebrated their 50th Anniversary and the committee put on a fantastic farming heritage flower display. Jessie Sutherland, Halkirk, was one of the four judges and she is a founding member of the committee.
