Halkirk Utd vs Golspie (1-4)

Halkirk Utd lost 4-1 to Golspie Sutherland at Morrison Park today and this defeat ended their hopes of retaining the league title. Kyle MacLean opened the scoring for Golspie and Alan Larnach hit a 2nd soon after. 2-0 at half-time.

Golspie defender Jordan Sutherland was sent off for 2 yellows early in the 2nd half, but Alan Larnach scored with a free kick 2 mins later to make it 3-0. I then left to attend the Caithness rugby match vs Strathmore. Martin Banks scored for the Anglers.

Thurso beat Lewis and Harris 1-0 in Dingwall in the Q/F of the Jock Mackay cup. Orkney beat Sutherland Utd 2-1 in Dornoch in the league.  Wick Academy beat Huntly 4-0.

Halkirk Utd vs Thurso (1-2)

Thurso beat Halkirk Utd 2-1 at very cold Morrison Park in the Football Times cup tonight. The first half was pretty even and Halkirk striker Sean Campbell beat the offside trap to score after 27mins.

Halkirk sat back in the 2nd half and never had a shot at goal. Thurso had all the pressure but couldn't score. Halkirk defender John Budge got sent off late on and Thurso took full advantage with goals from Sandy Sutherland and a very late strike from Kyle Innes.

CPW held their latest round of wrestling at a packed Royal Britsh Legion in Thurso on Sat 7th Feb 2015. The crowd went wild as the wrestlers gave their all in a great night's entertainment. The next round is on 21st March at the same venue and there is a special guest making an appearance in the ring.
