Top Joe's beat High Ormlie Hotspur 1-0 last night at Ormlie. I caught the 2nd half when it was 0-0. Ryan Forbes scored for TJs early in the 2nd half and this sparked an onslaught from Spurs. They threw everything at the TJs goal, but found Sean Milligan in excellent form and just could not get an equaliser.

Halkirk Utd lost 3-2 to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the North of Scotland Cup at Morrison Park last night. Caley fielded a young team as the first XI are playing Partick Thistle tonight.

Caley scored in the 2nd minute from a corner and scored a 2nd mid way through the first half. Alan Larnach scored with a free kick near the end of the first half, to make it 2-1 at half-time. Caley scored early in the 2nd half. Halkirk keeper Neal Clark was very busy and had some cracking saves.

Gordy MacNab was fouled in the box with 3 minutes remaining and scored the resulting penalty. Halkirk had two good chances in the final 2 minutes, but the Caley keeper had a great save from Alan Larnach to avoid a draw and a penalty shoot out.
