Kirkwall Thorfinn beat Avoch in a penalty shoot-out in today's Highland Amateur Cup Final played at Wick Academy's ground. It was 2-2 after full-time and extra-time. The Kirkwall keeper was the hero with some magnificent saves throughout the game and he was declared man of the match.
Ex-Celtic and Inverness Caley player Charlie Christie, played in midfield for Avoch, but his classy play was not enough to prevent the Viking raiders taking the cup back over the Pentland Firth for the second time in their history.
The cup and medals were presented by the SAFA officials from Glasgow.
