Orkney beat Caithness 2-1 in the Archer Shield challenge match at the Dammies in Thurso. Orkney scored twice early in the 2nd half. Caithness scored with a few minutes left, via a Gavin Sinclair header, and nearly equalised when a shot at point blank range was brilliantly saved by Cameron McConnachie.
Pentland Utd beat Bellmac 4-1 in the Highland Amateur cup. Utd are the only remaining Caithness team in the cup and are drawn away to Lochinver (who beat Kirkwall Thorfinn in Orkney - 2-1).
