Wick Academy drew 1-1 with Rothes in the last game of the season. With Keith losing to Deveronvale 3-2, the point was enough to secure a place in next season's SFL Challenge cup.
Wick struggled in the first half and went a goal down when a high cross ball to the back post crept in via the post. Wick bombarded the Rothes goal in the second half and eventually top scorer Davie Allan got the vital equaliser.
It was captain Martin Gunn's last game for Academy after 18 seasons and over 400 appearances. He played the whole game and won the man of the match award.
