Thurso beat Orkney 3-2 in a friendly at a very soft Dammies today. Graham MacNab scored two in the first half and Lee MacDougal came out of retirement to score the third in the 2nd half. Thurso only had 4 regulars playing and went 2-0 up against the run of play. Orkney scored late on and missed a penalty in the last minute of the first half - goalie Bryan Robertson made a great save, low down to his left.

Halkirk's game vs Clach was postponed. Wick beat Huntly 3-2 away from home and move into 2nd place in the league, 2 points behind Cove Rangers with 2 games in hand.

Andy Morris scored the first try, Roddy Gray continued his fine form with the 2nd and 3rd tries in the first half. Half-time was 20-0. Kris Hamilton scored the 4th in the 2nd half.

The Greens dominated the first half, but struggled in the 2nd, with Hamilton's try the only time they got near anywhere the try line. Strathmore's late try was the first points the Greens conceded in 3 matches.

Winger Marc Anderson was the man of the match.

Top Spec Range Rover Evoque

Took some pics of a very smart Range Rover Evoque at the weekend. It is a top of the range Dynamic SD4 with loads of extras such as special 20" black alloys, black security glass and a panoramic glass roof. It was voted the 2012 car of the year and is selling like hot cakes - there is an eight month waiting list if you want to buy a new one. Land Rover are employing more staff in order to produce the car 24/7 and meet the world-wide demand.

The pics were taken with special permission at Spittal quarry and also in the countryside near Westerdale.
