The Times Cup semi-final between Orkney and Muir of Ord Rovers was played in Thurso at the Dammies yesterday in brilliant sunshine. In a very competitive and tight match, Orkney won 2-1 after extra time. Orkney took the lead in the first half and Rovers equalised in the second half. Rovers had their chances to wrap the game up, including a header that hit the post with 5 mins left, but couldn't beat the keeper. Orkney scored late in the first half of extra time.

The red mist took over late in extra time and around 5 or 6 players from both sides were booked and a Rovers player was sent off as frustration set in.
