Halkirk beat High Ormlie Hotspur 4-2 in a league game at Recreation Park tonight. I caught the last 30 mins and Halkirk were already 3-1 up.
HOH scored first through Ewan Scott and Michael Bremner scored a penalty late on in the first half and then Matthew McKay scored again just on half-time to make it 2-1. Ian MacKay scored for Halkirk just after half-time. Halkirk then made heavy weather of the game and HOH had the best chance, but Halkirk keeper Stuart McCulloch made a brilliant save when a HOH striker was clean through.
Lee Elder cracked a fantastic 30 yard freekick against the post near the end and Michael MacIntosh was first to react to slot the ball home. Graham Scollay scored HOH's 2nd in the last minute.
