Thurso Acks played Wick's Francis St Club in the David Allan Shield cup match tonight at the Dammies. Acks won 5-0.
I caught the first half and it was 2-0. Acks had all the play but could not put the ball in the net. FSC goalie Andy Harper gifted the first goal by fumbling a weak shot into his own net. The second came just before half-time goal when a header from a corner hit a defender and went in.
FSC had one shot at goal which hit the post. Acks had playmakers Jack Halliday and Ryan Begg missing from the line up.
