Halkirk's first game in the 2nd Division of the Caithness AFA league was against Top Joes at Recreation Park. I caught the last 15 mins of the first half and 20 mins of the 2nd half, when the Baltic weather finally got the better of my fingers!
Halkirk had the bulk of the play and Paul MacKay broke the deadlock early in the 2nd half with a storming run through the middle of the defence. He also got the second before Keith Foubister got a late consolation for Top Joes.
