Thurso beat Alness Utd 2-1 in the SWL cup at the Dammies today. Marc MacGregor opened the scoring mid-way through the first half with a low drive, after breaking clear of the defence.  Darryn Mackay scored near the end of the first half by being quickest to react after the Alness keeper pushed away a shot. It was Darryn's first goal for Thurso.

Alness scored in the 2nd half and it was backs to the wall for Thurso in the last 5 mins, but they just held on.
