Thurso beat Halkirk Utd 2-1 at very cold Morrison Park in the Football Times cup tonight. The first half was pretty even and Halkirk striker Sean Campbell beat the offside trap to score after 27mins.
Halkirk sat back in the 2nd half and never had a shot at goal. Thurso had all the pressure but couldn't score. Halkirk defender John Budge got sent off late on and Thurso took full advantage with goals from Sandy Sutherland and a very late strike from Kyle Innes.
