Halkirk Utd beat Golspie Sutherland 3-2 in a league match, to go 7 points clear of Golspie who have a game in hand.

Golspie scored first early on before they scored a headed own goal from a free kick. Shaun Kerr scored a 2nd for Golspie and should have scored another before half time when he was one on one with James More, but shot straight at the keeper. More had another wonder save to keep the score at 2-1 at half-time.

Halkirk started strongly in 2nd half and scored through a James Murray chip and a penalty by Gordie MacNab after Martin Banks was hauled down. Halkirk sat back and never looked like conceding 3rd.
