Thurso Golf Club's A team won the Ulbster cup this afternoon in a thrilling match vs Wick "A". Peter Sangster sank a 9 foot birdie putt on the last green to clinch the cup by one hole.
The Thurso team was Peter Sangster, Jim Sangster, Alan Swanson & Dougie Thorburn. The Wick team was Ron Taylor, John Harper, Nicky Klimas & Gordon Steven.
In the semi-finals Thurso A beat Thurso B by 6 holes. Wick A beat Reay A by one hole.
The win means that Thurso retain the Wilson Cup and the Ulbster cup for the second year in a row.
