Pentland Utd beat Thurso Acks 3-1 in the Highland Amateur Cup quarter-final at the Dammies in Thurso. The Acks had six regulars missing, but Chris Sutherland scored the opener for Acks against the run of play mid-way through the first half. Acks' keeper Neal Clark had a stunning save when he flicked a header that was going for the top corner. Half-time 1-0 to Acks.

Acks had three great chances early in the second half as the Utd defence fell apart, but a scrambled goal from a corner gave Utd the equaliser. Clark had another stunning save, but Acks began to tire and Martyn Cook scored with a shot late on and he sealed the win with a free header from a corner with 7 mins left.

Utd now play Kirkwall Thorfinn in the semi-finals.  Wick Groats beat Golspie Stafford 2-1 after extra time to reach the final.
