Halkirk Utd beat Golspie Sutherland 3-2 at Morrison Park today and go further clear at the top of the league. I caught the 2nd half and it was already 2-1 to Halkirk. It was all Golspie in the 2nd half as they played with the wind behind them. Graham MacNab scored a break away goal to make it 3-1.

Halkirk had two sent off late in the game. Gavin Sinclair for two yellows (both for tackles). Golspie got a contentious penalty and Grant MacNab kicked the ball into the net in frustration and got his second yellow. Ex-Halkirk player Alan Larnach scored the penalty.  It was all Golspie in the final 10 mins and Lee Kirk made a superb fingertip save from a Nigel MacKenzie screamer to keep the score at 3-2.

Thurso beat Alness Utd 4-1 in Alness. Caithness RFC were beating Orkney 52-24 with a few mins left to play.

Wick Academy beat Fort William 8-1, with Gary Weir scoring all 8 goals, a new club record.
