The UK Pro Surf Tour held the Thurso Surf Festival at Thurso East over the weekend. I caught the action on Sunday when the waves were the best ever seen for a UK Pro Surf event. Huge barrel waves kept rolling in and during the open final two surfers scored the maximum score of 10.
Luis Eyre from Manchester won the open final. Other classes were under 16s, U18 boys, U18 girls, Junior Pro and Ladies.
